Simply clamp the locking pliers, with the extended jaws, on the sensor.

Rotate 180 degrees side to side to loosen the sensor.

 

 

 

 

Now hook the loop, on the jack handle, under the pin, on the locking pliers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Put one hand on the locking pliers and the other hand on the jack handle.

This will stabilize the sensor while you pull it out. For long sensors simply release the locking pliers and slide it down on the sensor to get another bite.

 

The angle iron on the bottom of the jack helps to keep it from sliding on ridges.

The jack folds flat for easy carrying and storage.
